Cobbler Square

In the mid-80’s, architect Ken Schroeder transformed 30 ram-shackled buildings used as a Dr. Scholl’s factory into Cobbler Square.  Cobbler Square is located in the heart of the Old Town Triangle district in Chicago, Illinois.  Cobbler Square is comprised of 295 loft apartments with ground-floor retail space in a colorful, visually arresting set of seven structures enclosing landscaped courtyards. In 2009, Pellicano worked with Village Green Management, who oversaw the complete renovation of the complex, including upgrades and expansions of the common areas, ground level retail, and utilities infrastructure. The project also included a tenant amenities area, a new gym, and laundry facilities. The project was completed during 100% occupancy without disruption to existing tenants.
