On April 14, 2009 Alex Tinsley, Sr. Project Manager for Pellicano Construction became the second employee to take and pass the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Professional Accreditation Exam. This accomplishment achieves an important corporate goal of Pellicano Construction’s Healthcare Division and will provides yet another level of expertise to our Healthcare clients and the hospitals we currently work with.

This group has successfully worked as a team for the last eight years delivering new construction projects, renovating existing properties, and maintaining healthcare facilities as a Construction Manager, General Contractor or Design Build partner. Again, like Pellicano Construction, this group has worked hard developing strong client relationships built on a solid reputation with their customers and throughout the subcontractor community. They also provide a level of experience that’s required in the Healthcare industry’s critical phase of Preconstruction Services which include design coordination and systems evaluation, schedule development, cost analysis and alternative cost solutions, constructability review and building system/life cycle studies.
Working in an occupied healthcare facility poses many challenges that are not evident in everyday construction and our team understands the risk involved when working around patients, staff, and medical equipment. They have successfully developed and implemented plans to ensure a safe environment for all parties when working under these conditions. Pellicano Construction’s Healthcare Group management staff is certified by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers. Our certification and practical experience in Infection Control and Project Risk Assessment has helped add to the success of our past projects. Our new Healthcare team members will bring several new educational programs for subcontractors, field personnel and clients to ensure that all of the workers and end users on the projects are appropriately trained.
Our staff has successfully assisted with the preconstruction and construction process, and development of maintenance programs on numerous projects including surgical suites, operating rooms, cancer centers, laboratories, doctor’s offices, medical equipment installation, dental clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, pharmacies, behavioral health facilities, etc. We have set up maintenance programs for healthcare facilities and provided emergency response when needed.

Pellicano Construction has hired Reide Onley to manage the Atlanta offices of Pellicano Construction. Pellicano Construction was founded 35 years ago in Albany, GA. Reide’s primary responsibility will be generating new business opportunities throughout the southeast while leading the company’s overall marketing and business development efforts. Reide has spent his entire 20 year career in the design and construction industry developing long standing relationships in the Hospitality, Retail, and Corporate Commercial markets. Reide is an Atlanta native and a graduate from the University of Georgia’s School of Environmental Design. He is also an active member in the Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta District Council, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA)
